Each property is focused around a south facing courtyard garden, making use of the rustic brick boundary walls that existed on the site to provide protection and privacy. The south-west facing garden facades are predominantly glazed, connecting inside and outside spaces and taking advantage of passive solar gain.

 

Internally, a circulation route with the main stair in the heart of the house and a more discreet stair at the end of one wing, connects the living spaces and bedrooms in a sinuous, continuous loop.
