STILLS GALLERY
Cockburn Street , Edinburgh
The project comprised the formation of a new reception area on the lower-ground area of Scotland's national photography gallery. This new open plan entrance area replaces the separate offices previously used by staff.
A new library and workspace has been created, with the lighting upgraded to simulate daylight conditions for artists preparing their work for display in the main gallery.
The design utilised a minimal palette of materials and colours to create a subtly distinctive space.
